Field system in Cappagh (glanarought By.)

In rough commonage, on a SW-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. A series of linear, drystone field walls (T c. 0.6m; H c. 0.5m; long axes E-W and N-S) which cover an area c. 110m x c. 100m. The walls survive in a collapsed condition and protrude above the surrounding peat. They form a rectilinear pattern and at least one enclosed field survives (W side c. 40m; N side c. 40m; E side c. 20m; S side c. 35m). Recent field boundaries are immediately to the W.
