Field system in Bawntard South,fairyfield Glebe — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Bawntard South holds two rectangular enclosures straddling the Ahaleagaun Stream, their faint lines still visible through poorly drained pasture. The field system belongs to County Limerick and marks a time when people shaped wet ground into usable land. They cut channels, built boundaries and forced water back into manageable paths. That much work suggests pride, desperation or both. The stream separates Fairyfield Glebe from Bawntard South, yet the enclosures cross it, tying both places together under one hand.

Situated on poorly drained partially reclaimed pasture in fields to N and S of the Ahaleagaun Stream which forms townland boundary with Fairyfield Glebe.
