Field system in Ballybroghan,carrowkeel (roscommon By., Ogulla Ed),lissacurkia (roscommon By.) is a field system in Ballybroghan,carrowkeel (roscommon By., Ogulla Ed),lissacurkia (roscommon By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a broad plateau and south-facing slope where relict banks formed rectangular fields connecting to the Carnfree system. Much of the structure has disappeared, though Lissaculkia still preserves about 130 acres of banks that remain separate from ring-barrows and ringforts.
On a broad plateau and its S-facing slope. An area of about 250 acres (c. 1 km square) had relict field banks forming large rectangular fields (dims c. 100m x c. 300m) which connected with the field systems around Carnfree (RO028-056001-) (Herity 1988). Much of the relict field banks have been removed, except in Lissaculkia where they are generally unconnected with ring-barrows or ringforts and now cover an area of about 130 acres (c. 53 ha).
