Field boundary in Gortlahard (glanarought By., Cappagh Ed)

In rough hill pasture, on a gentle W-facing slope, in the valley of the Sheen River. The remains of a curvilinear stone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.2m) protrude above the surface of the bog (D 0.4m) and extend to the N for c. 40m. Stones then run on at bog level for c. 10m. There is a hut site (KE102-078009-) c. 120m to the SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
