Field boundary in Gortacreenteen

In rough hill pasture, on a SE-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Slaheny River. The remains of a curvilinear stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.6m), which protrudes above the surface of the bog (D 0.4m), extends from an enclosure (KE103-033001-) to the NW for c. 10m, turns to the NE for c. 40m, curves to the SE for c. 23m and finally veers SW for 7m. The wall dips under the surface of the bog on several occasions. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
