Field boundary in Derrynamucklagh

In rough hill pasture, on a steep S-facing slope. A section of wall (T 0.8m; H 0.45m) protrudes from the surface of the heather-covered bog and extends (c. 40m NE-SW) upslope to NE, turns gradually to the ESE for a distance of c. 25m and then continues to the edge of a river. Large stones (H 0.35m; 0.4m x 0.15m) are used in the construction of the wall. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
