Field boundary in Coornacaragh

In rough hill pasture, on a W-facing slope, overlooking Lough Inchiquin. A NW-SE wall extends (L c. 28m) to the SE from the river bank, turns to the NE for c. 50m, then disappears under the bog for c. 10m before re-emerging and extending intermittently to the NE for c. 36m, returning to the river bank. The collapsed drystone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.45m) protrudes above the surface of the bog. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
