Part creeper- or ivy-covered roughcast battered walls. Square-headed central window opening (porch) with lichen-spotted sill, and rendered "bas-relief" surround framing fixed-pane fitting. A farmhouse representing an integral component of the domestic built heritage of County Wexford with the architectural value of the composition, one potentially repurposing a house displaying a comparable footprint on the first edition of the Ordnance Survey (surveyed 1840; published 1841), suggested by such attributes as the compact rectilinear plan form centred on an expressed porch; the disproportionate bias of solid to void in the massing compounded by the very slight diminishing in scale of the centralised openings on each floor producing a feint graduated visual impression; and the high pitched roofline. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original or sympathetically replicated fabric, thus upholding the character or integrity of a farmhouse making a pleasing visual statement in a rural street scene.
