Detached four-bay single-storey farmhouse with dormer attic, c.1820, retaining early fenestration. Reroofed and renovated, c.1970. Now disused. Pitched roof with replacement fibre-cement slate, c.1970, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stack, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Unpainted rendered walls with rendered channelled piers to corners. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and 2/2 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with replacement glazed timber panelled door, c.1970. Set back from road in own grounds with hedge boundary to perimeter having wrought iron gate. (ii) Detached single-bay single-storey outbuilding, c.1820, to south-west. Reroofed and refenestrated, c.1970. Pitched roof with replacement corrugated-iron, c.1970, and clay ridge tiles. Unpainted roughcast walls with rendered band to eaves to gable. Square-headed window opening with no sill, timber lintel, and replacement timber casement window, c.1970. Square-headed carriageway with replacement iron-sheeted door, c.1970. (iii) Remains of detached three-bay single-storey rubble stone outbuilding, c.1820, to north-east. Now in ruins forming boundary wall. Roof now gone. Random rubble stone walls with red brick dressings. Square- and shallow segmental-headed window openings with stone sills, timber lintels, red brick dressings, and fittings now gone.

An appealing, small-scale farmhouse that retains most of its original form and massing, together with important salient features and materials, despite the fact that it appears to be long out of use. The farmhouse is of particular significance for its role as the anchor site in a small-scale complex of vernacular importance, as identified by the informal arrangement and unrefined quality to the attendant outbuildings. The complex as a collective entity forms a pleasant feature in the landscape, and contributes significantly to the visual appeal of the landscape on the outskirts of Kill.
