Falmouth Docks Station, opened in 1879, served as a key railway terminus linking the town of Falmouth to the rest of Cornwall and England. It was important for the transport of passengers and goods, especially during the 19th and early 20th centuries, and was associated with the Cornwall Railway, later part of the London and South Western Railway.
