What is recorded here

Rockfield East holds a subcircular cashel forty-two metres across, its drystone wall buried under grass but still marking a boundary on the northern slope. The gap in the wall may be modern, yet the stones remain arranged to exclude or protect. A chamber tomb sits inside the southeast quadrant, waiting for the dead while the living pass above.

On a N-facing slope in undulating grassland. Subcircular cashel (N-S 42.5m), in fair condition, defined by a grassed-over drystone wall. Facing-stones are visible intermittently. Several gaps in the wall appear modern. A CBG (GA031-056001-) occupies SE quadrant of the interior.
