Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Oldcourt

Situated on a low rise of ground beside the driveway up to the nineteenth-century Oldcourt House. The nineteenth-century estate wall encloses a possible earlier low drystone wall (Wth 2.5m; H 0.5m) enclosing a circular area (diam. 29m N-S) with a possible entrance gap (Wth 2.5m) at S. The estate wall is approximately 10m away from the inner enclosure. A low mound of loosely piled stones occupies the W sector of the inner enclosure. A possible cashel reused as a tree-ring in the nineteenth century contemporary with the building of the big house.
