Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Montpelier

No visible gate, no central building trace, no kerb stones marked. The cashel is a broken ring of field stone on an open hill, the kind of place people named before they measured it. Montpelier still gives it a fairy label, but the label does not explain the shape. The shape is a round enclosure, partially collapsed, set where it could be seen and used. The fairy name is the mystery layer. The stone ring is the facts layer. Both can be true in the same breath.
