Thirty-three metres of hazel-choked stone circle the slope where Leana tilts toward the sky. A hidden passage cuts through the east floor, and a smaller pen still marks the west wall. People may have kept livestock inside or feared what the fairies kept below. Either way, the stones stayed sharp enough to hold a life, a shadow, or a secret.

On a SE-facing pasture slope, just below where the slope becomes very steep and wooded, and offering wide views out ENE-S. Hachured on both the first (1842) and Cassini (1920) editions of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This hazel-covered subcircular cashel (int. diams. 32.7m NNW-SSE; 26.1m NNE-WSW; ext. dims. 38.8m NNW-SSE; 36m ENE-WSW) is defined by a stone wall and associated collapse (combined Wth 3-6m; int. H 0.2-0.8m; ext. H 0.6-1.5m). The outer wall-face can generally be traced all around, especially S-W (max. H 1m), but at N it is mostly reduced to a single course. There is a Man-made underground passage (CL017-013002-) in the E centre of the cashel’s SE-sloping interior. Against the cashel’s inner wall-face at the WSW is a later, roughly semicircular animal pen (int. dims. 12m NW-SE; 6m NE-SW) defined by stone wall collapse (Wth 2m; H 0.6-0.8m).
