Marianne and the unknown woman walked into Lackaroe at dusk. The stone ring stood complete under a red sky, its entrance open and a wooden ladder leaning across the boundary. They stepped through to a small white chamber where a woman in dark clothes sat waiting. She touched Marianne's arm, showed her a child lost in a storm, then released her. The chamber vanished. The ring fort reappeared ordinary and abandoned, but the ladder remained across the stones.

In stony pasture, on the saddle of a ridge extending SE from Curramore Hill. An oval area (16m E-W; 13m N-S) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (Wth 3m; H 1m). There is a possible entrance at E. A U-shaped structure built into the wall at SW, with the entrance towards the interior, appears to be a more recent shelter or hut. A relict field system (KE093-051001-) is adjacent, three walls of which abut the cashel at NW, SE and SW. There is a bowl-shaped depression (diam. 3m; D 0.5m) in the ground c. 5m to the NE of the cashel. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
