Killeenhugh held a forty-foot stone ring where human hands first broke the limestone and fitted the edges. Farmers later stripped the wall for field boundaries, erasing the fort but continuing its purpose of shaping the land. The fairies never left because they are the memory of every person who built, lived, and vanished there.

On a gentle rise in an area of outcropping limestone and undulating pastureland. Classified by McCaffrey (1952, 275, no. 17) as a circular 'Enclosure' (diam. c. 40.5m) defined by 'one ring of rough blocks' and with a 'structure (GA113-132001-) on the inner face of the wall at S.
