Mortals build walls against invaders; the fairies built this ring against forgetting. They circled thirty metres of living stone on the ridge at Graigues, leaving no gate because doors admit trouble. The limestone seam cutting the northern bank is not a flaw but a breath hole, letting the fortress expand and contract with the moon. Human ringforts broke under siege. Fairy fortresses do not break; they relocate. What looks like ruin is simply patience, waiting for the next creature arrogant enough to occupy the centre.

On elevated terrain, at N end of limestone ridge. Circular area (30.6m N-S; 29.5m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.05m) E->S, and by substantial dry-stone bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 3.25m) S->NE. Stone bank cut through at N by seam of limestone outcrop which further protrudes to N. Level interior covered by deciduous trees.
