No visible trace remains at Cloonteen, though local memory still shapes the hidden fort into a fairy abode. That is not evasion, but a clue: the site resists ordinary description and may have served more than one purpose. A cashel suggests a defensive or ceremonial role, while the fairy name warns that human use may have ended before imagination took over. Both claims can be true.
