Caherhemush is a stone ringfort on a pasture rise in County Mayo, Ireland. Its circular wall encloses an uneven interior where the northern half has surrendered to overgrowth. People may have lived there before forgetting the name, but the stones still mark the boundary between human memory and fairy speculation.

On a rise in undulating pasture. Circular raised area (42m N-S; 43m E-W), enclosed by remains of stone wall, now piled with clearance. N half of site heavily overgrown. Interior very uneven.
