What is recorded here

Kilkeeran and the surrounding townlands formed one bawn, a shared boundary enclosing common grazing land for neighbouring families. The arrangement turned separate holdings into a cooperative system where cattle moved across recognized limits rather than private fences. People lived inside that structure, measuring wealth and obligation by the size of the bawn and their place within it.
