Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Barnaderg North is an oval cashel about thirty-five metres long on a grassy knoll, preserving two degraded walls, a hidden fosse and five houses within its circle. The southern gap may be original, while a later field wall climbs part of the outer edge, blending human ownership across centuries. People may have lived there, hidden in the underground passage or watched the rolling land from the stones, but the fort still keeps more than it reveals.

On a knoll in rolling grassland. Oval cashel (E-W c. 35m, N-S c. 20m), in fair condition, defined by two degraded walls and an intervening fosse. No visible surface trace of the fosse or outer wall survive at S. A field wall overlies the outer wall from NW to NNE. A gap (Wth 2.75m) at S may be original. Within the interior are a Man-made underground passage (GA044-020001-) and five houses (see GA044-020002- to GA044-020006-).
