No, that is a dangerous place. The story tells of a woman who went there to wash clothes. She never returned. They found her clothes ringing the wash, but she was gone. The fort keeps what it takes.
In pasture, on SW-facing slope overlooking marshy area. Roughly circular area (40m N-S; 42m E-W) enclosed by stone bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.6m). Bank best preserved along N arc; incorporated into field boundary system NE->SE. Interior, under rough pasture, slopes down gently to SW. Uprooted trees dumped along inner bank face.
