Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ballynary is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Ballynary, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a pasture shelf on a high ridge with views toward Lough Arrow. A stone bank and natural scarp define a circular area roughly twenty-four metres across. Hazel, ash, hawthorn and brambles ring the perimeter, while a possible entrance appears at the southeast.

In pasture, occupying a shelf on the SW-facing slope of a high ridge. There are good views to W and SW over lowland pasture bordering Lough Arrow. A circular area (c. 24m NW-SE; c. 23m NE-SW) defined N-SSE by a stone bank and S-NNW by a curving scarp (H 1.5m) coinciding with the break of slope at the terrace edge. The perimeter is densely ringed with hazel, ash, hawthorn and brambles, impeding inspection, and clumps of brambles obscure much of the level interior. Where the bank can be seen at ENE and SE it appears as a concentration of stones (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.7m) incorporating large slabs and boulders with much stone tumble obscuring the internal and external faces. At S the bank appears to be more compact (Wth 2m). There is a possible entrance (Wth 2.5m) at SE, partially blocked with stones. The natural slope below the cashel has been quarried away to a high vertical face. A rath (SL040-051----) lies c. 100m upslope to NE.
