Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ardamullivan

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Ardmullivan’s fairy fort is a near-circular cashel, about 31 metres across, set on a low hillock in County Galway. Its drystone wall has collapsed and become grassed over, yet the ring remains clear enough to walk through like a forgotten room. People may have lived there, guarded food or simply marked the land before written memory; the stones no longer explain themselves.
