What is recorded here
Fairy forts are often ringforts misnamed because people stopped understanding them. Sooreeny may hold one of these quiet misreadings, a human fort forgotten until folklore filled the gap. The true story may be simpler: people lived there, left, and the hole became a vessel for wonder.
