What is recorded here
Mud and memory still hold the shape of a lost life. The fort stands beside the Johnstown House road, waiting for footsteps that have not returned since the last child ran its rim.
Situated close to the avenue to Johnstown House. The OS Letters (1837) note a ringfort but do not precisely located (O'Flanagan 1927, 48).
