Fairy forts in Galway are not mysterious at all. They are ordinary ringforts, farmed and forgotten until people remembered them. Lisnamoltaun keeps one such circle beside another, quarried and broken but still visible. The fairies are only the part humans stopped understanding.

Some 180m WNW of a ringfort (GA086-189----). Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (NNE-SSW 29.2m, WNW-ESE 26.4m) defined by a scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank. The fosse and outer bank survive from SW through W to NE. The monument has been extensively quarried. An enclosure (GA086-209----) lies c. 70m to WNW.
