Knockbarron is an unlocated ringfort in County Offaly, Ireland, first described in the nineteenth century. It may have been a farming stronghold, a refuge or a boundary marker, but no exact structure survives in the evidence provided. The name Fairy fort suggests local tradition rather than proven function, and the loss of its position removes the chance to test that claim.
