Killahy holds a forgotten ringfort, likely built during the medieval period when strongholds dotting the Irish landscape served as defensive homes or tribal markers. The earthworks may have protected families, stored grain or witnessed local conflicts before fading from memory. Calling it a fairy fort suggests people once believed the site belonged elsewhere, transforming human history into myth.
