What is recorded here

Harristown holds a ringfort, a simple earth ridge that may have enclosed homes, barns or prayer long before written memory. It is not a castle, not a fortress for soldiers, but a small defended place for ordinary life. The name Fairy fort suggests people later refused to explain it honestly, giving the unknown a shape they could believe.
