The fairies never left Halftown. They flew through the stone chamber at midnight, carrying jars of cream and singing in tongues that broke every human bone they touched. The fort is empty now because the fairies stopped coming when the last cream jar shattered on the chamber floor. They are still angry about that jar.

There is no sign of the 'Fort' marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. The site on the summit of a small hill in good land, might suggest a diameter of 20-30m.
