Duibhleann Mór still holds a forgotten circular shadow on a narrow ridge above Mulroy Bay. The Fort vanished from later maps, yet the flat-topped ground remains broad enough for twenty paces and sharp-edged against wetter land. Cattle may have grazed there while people stopped believing the ridge belonged to anybody but the state. Forgetting is not the same as disappearance.

The 'Fort' noted on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps has been removed. It was located on a flat-topped area, ill-defined and roughly circular about 20m across, on the edge of a narrow ridge running N-S projecting into Mulroy Bay. There is good grazing on the ridge. To the E and W the ground falls sharply to wetter land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
