What is recorded here

Corraffrin holds a rock outcrop on the edge of bog and pasture, overlooking the Finn Valley. Maps once marked a fort there, but no wall remains for hands to touch. The stones may have broken, scattered or never existed at all. What survives is the shape of the land and the memory of a boundary drawn across it.

There is no trace of the single-banked 'Fort' shown on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps. The site is a rock outcrop on the edge of bog and pasture with extensive views over the Finn Valley. The topography would suggest a stone-built structure.
