No human name is attached to the ridge, but the shape is clear: a circular rath forty-four metres across, with two banks and a ditch between them, set on grassland above bogland. The causewayed entrance faces north-northwest, as if inviting someone upward out of the wet dark. Maybe it was a fortress for people, maybe a fortress for notice itself, the kind of place where seeing becomes the danger.

On an ridge summit in grassland overlooking bogland to N. Circular rath (D 44m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Both banks are present from E through S to W; elsewhere a scarp forms the inner enclosing element. Causewayed entrance at NNW.
