What is recorded here
Corduff is one of three nearby places called a fort on an 1837 map, though a housing estate now covers the site and no fort is visible at ground level. Whatever stood there has been buried, built upon or forgotten. The name still appears because someone saw enough shape, boundary or local belief to record it before the area changed.
One of three sites within close proximity named 'fort' on the 1837 OS 6-inch map. There is a housing estate on the site. Not visible at ground level.
