An invisible ringfort stands in Carrickshandrum, hidden from maps but remembered in donegal survey. It faced the Finn Valley, watching water and weather while people passed beneath its absent walls. The land kept its shape long after stone and boundary vanished, proving that memory can build what forgetfulness erases.

There is no trace of the 'Fort' marked on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map. It was situated in gently rolling good pasture with good views along the Finn Valley.
