No wall stands in Ardnaglass now, only loose stone scattered across good pasture and a slight rise the old survey marked as a fort. The land keeps the shape of what disappeared, perhaps a cashel whose stones fed nearby fences or whose boundary simply dissolved into grass. Whatever lived there, the view remains wide and the ground still holds the memory of a place people believed worth naming.

There is no sign of the 'Fort' marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map beside a slight rise. A lot of loose stone lying about might indicate a cashel.
