Fairy fort in Turlough, County Galway: a subcircular earthen ringfort about thirty metres across, set in grassland above southern bogland. Its bank still stands, though modern gaps break it, and an outer ditch survives from southeast through south to west. Another ringfort waits one hundred and eighty metres northeast, as if the land had marked two rooms instead of one. People may have lived here, herded here, or simply avoided the bog edge; the earth keeps the choice ambiguous.

In grassland overlooking bogland to S. Subcircular rath (E-W 32m, N-S 30m), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse; the latter survives from SE through S to W. Numerous gaps in the bank appear modern. A ringfort (GA007-122----) lies c. 180m to NE.
