Half-hidden in rushes and grass on the east face of a drumlin, the fort keeps its thirty-two-metre circle though a later field bank cuts clean through it. Its earthen ridge and shallow outer ditch have survived long enough to suggest that people shaped the slope before forgetting which gap was the door. What was lost is an entrance, not the idea of a boundary drawn around a small life.

Situated on the E-facing slope of a drumlin. This is a grass and rush-covered circular area (diam. 32m NNW-SSE) defined by an intermittently visible and overgrown earthen bank (Wth 5-7m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.65m) and an external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 2-3m; D 0.25m). The monument is bisected by a NW-SE field bank and ditch. The original entrance is not identified.
