What is recorded here

A northern stream cut the eastern edge of the fort, leaving a broad crescent of earth instead of a complete ring. The completed part still stands about four metres thick in boggy ground, large enough for thirty-one metres of interior and tall enough to give a clear view across the land. The missing section does not look like damage alone. It reads as if the fort was made to follow the water, using the cut bank as one wall and leaving the open side facing the life that moved through it.

Internal diameter 31.6m N-S, 24m E-W Situated in boggy land, this site has extensive views in all directions. It has been cut to the E by a stream flowing N, thus it appears as a crescent-shaped area enclosed by a bank. The bank measures 1.6m externally, 1.6m internally, and c 4m in width. In the interior side of the W sector there is a semi-circular bank curving into the enclosing bank, which measures internally c 4m N-S and c5m E-W. The above description is derived from C.
