What is recorded here
Marked on the 1840-41 OS as a circular enclosure, this site also appears on the later edition of 1914- 15. A slight trace of a circular enclosure can be seen on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1974). However, this site was levelled in 1986 and no surface trace survives today.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 1015. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
