What is recorded here
Marked on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps as a circular enclosure, this site is situated SE of Lisnapeastia (KE001-029----). It also shows up quite clearly on the Geographical Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1974 Q80) but it was levelled in 1986 and no surface trace survives today.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 140. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
