What is recorded here

In pasture, on a S-facing slope. A raised oval area (diam. 25.2m N-S; present E-W 27.8m) defined by a scarp (H 1.25m) NW-NE and E-SSW and by an earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.8m) NE-E and SSW-SW. A N-S field boundary and drain truncate the W edge of the rath. The interior slopes down to E and the remains of cultivation ridges are evident. The rath is being eroded by cattle.
