What is recorded here

No visible entrance remains on the low, partly worn earthen bank, yet the fort still suggests a doorway hidden beneath grass or forgotten in its own shape. A person entering Tonagh may have walked past what others called fairy work, unsure whether they faced a household, a trap or a joke. The land kept the fort small enough to touch and old enough to resist explanation.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 25m) enclosed by a low, partly denuded earthen bank and faint traces of a fosse identifiable only at E and at S. Original entrance not recognisable.
