In level pasture, paddock for horses. Circular area (diam. 24m) defined by remains of levelled bank reduced to scarp (Wth 4.4m; H 1.3m) SE-W-N-NE and levelled NE-E-SE. Causewayed entrance (Wth 5m at SE). External fosse (Wth 7.05m; D 0.45m) SE-W-N-NE. Scarp and fosse best preserved SE-W-NW. Remains of outer bank (Wth 5.35m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.7m) SSE-S-WSW and trace of same WSW-N-NE. Breach in outer bank at W probably due to location of horse jump at edge of inner scarp above; second jump adjacent to S. Interior slopes downwards gently to E and is incorporated into rest of field as pasture. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
