Stooagh holds a thirty-three-metre earthen ring on open upland, its bank still standing one metre high beside a faint outer ditch. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because the shape appeared suddenly complete or refused ordinary explanation. A human hand built the circle, yet the name suggests the living world shared the space with something older.

Situated in an upland area. A circular area (diam. c. 33.4m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 3.1m, int. H c. 0.7m, ext. H c. 1.2m) with traces of an external fosse.
