What is recorded here

No visible mound remains at Fairy Fort, yet the hidden chamber underneath and the faded southern gap suggest a place where ordinary sight fails. The earth may have swallowed the structure rather than never having existed. What is missing is not absence but transformation, and the field still holds the shape of what it lost.

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Sub-circular area (int. dims. 31m N-S, 28.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (Wth 5-6.5m, H 0.2-0.5m internally, 0.9-2m externally) with traces of external fosse at W. Ancient entrance gap (Wth 4m) at S. Man-made underground passage (LH006-001002-) in interior.
