Lissymilleen, the ringfort of the little knoll, still stands as a circular bivallate rath with a 38m internal diameter. Its steep inner bank rises 3.5m above a four-metre-wide fosse, while a lower outer bank completes the defensive ring. Local legend claims a hidden tunnel links this fort to another near Tarmons House, suggesting the earth itself may still hold forgotten passages beneath its grassy surface.

A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath) known as Lios an mhillín, likely dating to the early medieval period, featuring a bivallate structure with a prominent inner bank and fosse. The name suggests a traditional association with fairy lore, common in Irish ringforts, though specific folklore is not recorded.
