Half a circle of clay still stands where quarrying bit into the fort, marking a thirty-two metre chamber that once faced the Owenbaun River. Men may have lived inside those double banks before tools took them for stone, reducing a home to a scar now hidden beneath coniferous trees. The missing wall does not erase the shape; it exposes the hunger of later wants, leaving only a broken ring to remember the first boundary drawn against the wild.

In pasture, on WNW-facing slope, overlooking Owenbaun River. Circular area (32m N-S) enclosed by two earthen banks (H 0.9m) NW->WSW with shallow intervening fosse; elsewhere banks removed by quarrying which extends into interior. Gap in inner bank (Wth 2.5m) to NNW and in outer bank (Wth 3m) to N. Banks and disused quarry planted with coniferous trees. Surrounding field fences removed; debris dumped on outer bank and intervening fosse to E, adjacent to N-S trackway outside fort.
