What is recorded here

Situated on a N-S ridge in upland, overlooking the Clare River to the W. A raised circular area (diam. 24.55m NE-SW) enclosed by two earth and stone banks with a wide intervening fosse (Wth 3-4m; D 0.35m) and a possible causewayed entrance (Wth 4m) at ESE. The inner bank (Wth 1m; ext. H 1m) is poorly preserved and is reduced to a scarp in most places while the outer bank is mainly constructed of stone and has the appearance of a cashel wall (T 2m; H 0.7m) which is destroyed from SW through W to N.
